Python/React Development Senior

Our client is looking for an experienced Python / React Developer with strong AI expertise to join an existing development team working on an internal AI platform and agent-based solutions.

As a key player in the Belgian and European energy landscape, our client plays a crucial role in ensuring a reliable and sustainable electricity supply.

Within this assignment, you will contribute to the development of an innovative AI platform designed for everyday internal use, with a strong focus on AI agents, LLM-based applications and communication between agents.

Responsibilities

As a Python / React Developer, you will:

  • Design and develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.

  • Contribute to the development of AI agents and LLM-based applications.

  • Work with modern AI concepts and technologies such as:

    • LLMs

    • MCP

    • A2A

    • RAG

    • LangChain / LangGraph

  • Develop and integrate messaging solutions using RabbitMQ.

  • Work with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

  • Develop database integrations using SQLAlchemy.

  • Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms using technologies such as SAML, OAuth and Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Ensure code quality through automated testing with Pytest.

  • Develop modern frontend solutions using React, JavaScript and CSS.

  • Work with NX and MicroFrontend architectures.

  • Build and deploy containerised applications using Kubernetes.

  • Contribute to CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.

  • Work within a modern microservices architecture.

  • Follow development standards and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, AI specialists and other stakeholders within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

  • Strong development experience with Python, preferably FastAPI.

  • Strong frontend development experience with React.

  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

  • Experience with SQL databases and SQLAlchemy.

  • Knowledge of asynchronous messaging and queues, preferably RabbitMQ.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments.

  • Experience with CI/CD, preferably Azure DevOps and/or ArgoCD.

  • Knowledge of application security and authentication technologies such as OAuth, SAML and Entra ID.

  • Experience with automated testing using Pytest.

  • Good understanding of microservices architectures.

AI Experience

Strong knowledge or hands-on experience with AI development is highly valued, particularly:

  • AI Agent development

  • Large Language Models (LLMs)

  • RAG architectures

  • MCP – Model Context Protocol

  • A2A / Agent-to-Agent communication

  • LangChain

  • LangGraph

  • Microsoft Copilot technologies

Languages
